Prior to contacting Paul I'd always been ashamed of my teeth as they were so uneven and discoloured. Other dentists had implied that they were beyond repair. I hated showing my teeth on photographs, I was very self conscious when I spoke to people up close and I would do my best to hide them. They really were an embarrassment to me. I'd always taken pride in my appearance, but I felt that my teeth really let me down, that's when I decided to look for a cosmetic dentist on the internet and I contacted the Newton Dental Implants & Cosmetics Centre.

During my initial consultation with Paul, he was very honest and realistic about the results that he could achieve through using cosmetic dentistry and I didn't feel pressurised into accepting any treatment - he asked me to go away and consider the options that were available.

After careful consideration I decided that it was for me - which was absolutely the right decision. I'm amazed with the results that Paul has achieved and I'm no longer ashamed of my teeth, they look so natural, white and healthy. For the first time ever I have been able to show my teeth on photographs, I feel so much more confident about my smile.

I recently completed a course of treatment for an implant supported overdenture on my upper jaw and, although expensive, I am delighted with the results. I can now enjoy my food again, without fear or embarrassment of my dentures falling out, and I can smile with confidence. I have endured 25 years of dental problems. This has progressed from gum disease to bone loss and the inevitable loosening of teeth which to no one's surprise eventually fall out.

During this time I have visited no less than 20 dentists, spent 3 years at the dental hospital and even visited the 'miracle' and 'cheap' solution in Budapest. This was all to no avail and I felt very depressed at the very thought of my teeth incrementally falling out. i eventually reached the stage of barely able to eat or chew food properly.

About 17 months ago I visited Mr Beard and asked him to be blunt and give me my realistic option. Mr Beard was indeed blunt, he told me that if I unchecked I would lose my teeth. however, the revelation was that he told me if I followed his advice I would be eating normally and even chewing steak in approximately 12 months, I must say I found this hard to comprehend.

Mr Beard presented me with a 12-15 months treatment plan which involved the insertion and use of dental implants into my mouth. Over the past 15 months I have undergone my treatment, always professionally delivered by Mr Beard and his staff.

I will leave the technical details of the treatment to Mr Beard, but, I will say that I have been guided, advised and supported throughout. During the period of treatment there are naturally some adjustments to one's eating habits but given the alternative this is no hardship.

Suffice to say 15 months later Mr Beard's predictions materialised - i am chewing steak (and spare ribs, apples and olives) and I feel better now than I have done for many years. More importantly I feel I have natural teeth in place again.

I truly 'have got my mouth back' and I regard this treatment as one of my best investments.

I would fully endorse this treatment as it gives individuals like myself a second opportunity. I also give praise to Mr Beard and his staff.

After my initial consultation for full implant treatment with Dr Paul Beard, I was presented with a detailed programme setting out a treatment time scale and payment details, which kept me fully informed of what the next stage of the treatment I was to receive, which in turn allowed me to liaise with my workplace for suitable leave to be arranged.

At each appointment I was treated without delay and in a most professional manner, but in a relaxed atmosphere, where Dr Beard and his nursing staff would put me at ease and explain the next stage to me. I was encouraged to ask questions regarding the progress of my implant treatment and in case there were any unforeseen problems follow up calls were made to make sure I suffered no ill effects after surgery.

I can't praise Dr Beard and his staff enough for making me feel totally at ease, with the best possible care and treatment that you could receive.
