The practice team & their qualifications

Dr. Paul Beard Principal BDS (Manchester 1989) GDC number: 64838 Dr Beard is married with three daughters. He graduated from Manchester University Dental Hospital in 1989, and since then he has acquired over 16 years experience in all aspects of general and surgical dentistry at his practices in Manchester, Bolton and Newton-le-Willows. In the past 6 years Dr Beard has concentrated his efforts on the fields of Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry, undertaking extensive training in the UK and overseas. An active member of the Association of Dental Implantologists and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, he is currently studying towards a Masters Degree in Dental Implantology, and continues to receive additional advanced training from world leaders in dental implantology. Dr Beard and his team undertake all aspects of dental implantology including implant placement, bone and soft tissue grafting, and all types of implant restorative work. To complement Dr Beard's Implant and Cosmetic work he is also qualified to perform facial rejuvenation procedures, which are simple, safe and highly effective at removing stubborn frown lines and smoothing/eliminating wrinkles.
Dr. Nerys Cook Dental Associate
Dr Amit Maisuria Associate Dental Surgeon B.D.S. (B'ham) GDC number: 80840 Dr. Amit Maisuria qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2002 and subsequently worked in London. In 2005, he left the grime of London to join us here in the more picturesque climbs of the North West. Amit’s interests lie in Crowns, Bridges & Dentures and he spends 2 days a week at the Manchester Dental Hospital working towards a Masters Degree in Prosthodontics. This will concurrently allow him to attain Membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons. Amit also offers sedation and works at the Liverpool Dental Hospital dealing with more complex cases. In October 2006 Amit finally married his lovely fiancé Bindi - in an “intimate” ceremony for 1200 guests!
Dr Dipesh Patel Associate Dental Surgeon BDS (Sheff), MFDS RCS (Eng) GDC number: 83642 Dr Dipesh Patel qualified from Sheffield in 2004 with clinical distinction. After further posts as a Dental Senior House Officer at Manchester Dental Hospital and North Manchester General’s Oral Surgery Dept, he gained his Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons England in 2006 (MFDS RCS Eng). His particular interests are Surgical Dentistry and Dental Sedation. He regularly attends a wide range of postgraduate courses and conferences to keep abreast of the latest technologies and techniques. Currently Dipesh is furthering his skills in the treatment of anxious patients by studying towards a Diploma in Conscious Sedation at Guys Hospital once a week. Dipesh is an enthusiastic and lively member of the Newton Dental team and enjoys using his extensive skills and experience to provide high quality treatment with the utmost comfort and care.
